From April to November your springs and summers in the Sangro River valley can be moved by the Sangro Outdoor Experience team. Between Abruzzo and Molise the headquarters of Sangro Outdoor Experience is located in a fabulous forest of oaks that protrude on the river bank.
The establishment is equipped with services such as the picnic area to be able to eat outdoors by ordering food at our spaces or by bringing a snack. You can bathe in the Sangro river and for this reason we also have a equipped beach.

Would you like to go canoe on the Sangro river?
With Sangro Outdoor Experience it is possible even if you are not a real expert.
With pneumatic canoes, you can explore the banks and waterfalls of this river that slightly marks the border between Abruzzo and Molise. Immersed in the natural park, the canoe experience does not require specific knowledge, but accompanied by one of our instructors, we will make a safe and pleasant ride.
The canoes we use are inflatable, as are the rafts and therefore they are quite stable. The canoes are single-seater and one of our guides will teach you some basics to guide them to you.
The equipment provided consists of a life jacket, a helmet and other water protections such as ki-way if necessary, and of course the canoe and paddle.

This sport cannot be tackled without first practicing at least a short introductory course. And this is what Sangro Outdoor Experience aims to do, to provide the rudiments to be able to lead, even if as a beginner, a kayak.
The Sangro goes perfectly with this activity because it has many quiet stretches, but also others with various levels of difficulty and small waterfalls.
Sangro Outdoor Experience offers a course that develops with theoretical lessons and then two lessons directly in the river to learn how to discern obviously with the instructor. In addition to the basic equipment, such as kayaks and paddles, you will be supplied with a helmet and vest and other tools if necessary.

Get ready for an adventure with Sangro Outdoor Experience !
On the Sangro river we organize rafting trips for groups, an activity called rafting . It consists in the creation of a group that collaborates together to transport a commone rowing in a synchronized way, or at least try it! A guide will lead the reins of the route and indicate the actions to be done. Depending on the season and the conditions of the river, even small children are allowed or prohibited to experience it.
During the summer, in fact, the river has less low levels and therefore the current is less strong. This allows you to practice the activity without particular difficulties and in this case the experience becomes very fun even for children.
While during the periods when the waterways are more abundant, depending on the conditions or not it is recommended that the participation of children under seven years old or not.
Equipped with all the special necessary material, the only one you have to respect is sportswear and avoid wearing boots and slippers.
Photos are allowed, but with great care because the equipment gets wet easily, but the guide can keep your delicate objects in the water.

What a better way to see the Sangro valley and also Alto Molise than by bike!
These regions of Italy have natural spaces scattered throughout the territory, constituted parks and therefore specially protected.
For this reason, a trip by bicycle, the ecological means of all life, whether for leisure or for necessity, is always recommended.
Sangro Outdoor Experience to visit these vast valleys so rich from a morphological and naturalistic point of view, use the mountain bike .
In these lands the routes are signposted and present different difficulties depending on the slope of the various routes.
In addition to passing through the paths in the woods, you will discover the various villages in this part of central Italy, such as the characteristic medieval center Castel del Giudice , whose name seems to have been acquired from the name of the feudal lord of these lands in medieval times.
The intoxicating smells of upper Molise and the Sangro Valley will accompany your bike route.

The trekking in the Sangro Valley is one of the experiences to live at least once in a lifetime!
The gentle valleys, the typical vegetation and the local fauna will surely give a unique touch to trekking excursions!
Sangro Outdoor experience aims to enhance this territory through sustainable paths and raise awareness of the protection of this truly unique environmental heritage. In fact, precisely in these areas, there is the National Park which includes an area of the Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise regions, created precisely to protect the fauna and flora.
The typical fauna of the national park are large mammals, such as the characteristic Marsican bear, lynxes and even otters. The streams and lakes are also very luxuriant, including that of Scanno and San Vincenzo.
In our journey mostly in the Sangro valley, near Castel del Giudice , we will meet animals such as wild boars and roe deer and also beautiful birds such as the buzzard and the heron , the mallard , the little egret . A path that appeals to children, but also to adults.
Eventually you will come to a small lake where you can have a moment of refreshment.
