The cooperative Tacchi d'Ogliastra is located on a green island in the heart of Sardinia. Given its optimal location, it offers its customers various services aimed at discovering the territory, its wild nature, to its history and traditions.

It organizes, in fact, excursions by quad bike, mountain bike, and trekking in Ogliastra.

Our customers who decide to practice trekking can choose between the various routes in archeotrekking , aimed at discovering the archaeological remains of the earth (nuraghe, domus de janas, tombs of the giants, sacred wells, sculptures created by nature and much more) which present different degrees of difficulty, depending on whether the person who chooses it is a beginner rather than a sportsman. Always and in any case accompanied by environmental hiking guides.

There is also a wide choice of trekking itineraries: in fact, you can choose between simple walks among the Mediterranean scrub and holm oak woods, or more demanding climbs of the typical calcareous heels which, like that of Corongiu , can exceed 1000 meters in height.

For those who have a passion for cycling , you can take various mountain bike trails that can only have slight gradients or harder tracks of 15-20 km, immersed in lush vegetation on dirt roads, suitable for those with a higher level of training.

For those who want to reach these splendid places while having fun, the cooperative I Tacchi d ’Ogliastra offers its customers the rental of Quads.

We also give you the opportunity to get to know the lands located between Jerzu, Ulassai, Osini, Gairo and Cardedu, their traditions and their history, among the Cannonau vines (in the wine trails), the ancient cellars, the ovens of lime and the old rural churches to introduce you to the uses and customs of an ancient people, who keep their traditions alive and to carry out guided tours to rediscover the Sardinian tradition.

The cooperative i Tacchi d’Ogliastra Quad offers its customers to reach enchanted places in Ogliastra by ATV.

Quads are in fact the ideal vehicle for those who want to visit the most hidden beauties of Sardinia in the purest fun without effort and having fun. With these miniature off-road vehicles it is possible to reach inaccessible places, make excursions in the wildest heart of Ogliastra and Sardinia.

Tacchi d'Ogliastra Quad currently has Polaris Trail Boss quad equipment with a displacement of 330 cc and it is possible to choose between excursions guided by one of our guides, or free rental of the vehicle from 2 to 72 hours (in this case a driving license B is required).

The guided hikes have two different itineraries :

• Sa Costa, Ungula and Ferru lasting 2 hours;
• Gessitu- Alustia saddle lasting 3 hours.

We recommend sportswear and a pair of sunglasses, a driving license and we'll take care of everything else, including helmets.

With Tacchi d’Ogliastra Trekking , this sport can be practiced almost all year round, given that in Ogliastra the climate is mild from early March until late November.

The trekking is a sporting walk that allows you to reach the peaks of the Tacchi d'Ogliastra (limestone-dolomitic mountains), otherwise inaccessible by any other means, characterized by numerous archaeological testimonies, such as nuraghe and domus de janas. Obviously these excursions will also be made in the presence of a specialized guide, in order to fully appreciate the magic.

We offer two different itineraries:

• Tour heels (duration 5-6 H) with medium-high difficulty;
• Corongiu (duration 3 H) with a medium-easy difficulty.

For the more sporty we recommend mountain biking, a sport that coincides individualism with the desire to be in a group. Our territory has hundreds of kilometers of dirt roads, therefore suitable for excursions of this type.

The itineraries that Tacchi d'Ogliastra MTB offers its customers have different degrees of difficulty: from less demanding routes, for the less trained (which, however, will be able to give intense emotions thanks to the total immersion in nature); to others more difficult for sportsmen.

You will always be accompanied by our tour guides.

Here are some of the possible routes (always lasting 3 hours):

• Tour of the Vineyards,
• Bingionniga,
• Corungio.

We also give you the possibility to make excursions on your own , or to rent a bicycle from a minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 7 days, to admire the Ogliastra landscapes in complete tranquility and with the possibility of following archeotrekking itineraries.
