The Tacchi d'Ogliastra cooperative is located on a green island in the heart of Sardinia. Given its optimal location, it offers its customers various services aimed at discovering the area, its wild nature, to its history and traditions.

In fact, it organizes quad, mountain bike and trekking excursions in Ogliastra.

Our customers who decide to practice trekking can choose between the various archeotrekking routes, aimed at discovering the archaeological remains of the earth (nuraghe, domus de janas, giants' tombs, sacred wells, sculptures created by nature and much more) which present different degrees of difficulty, depending on whether the person who chooses it is a beginner rather than an athlete. Always and in any case accompanied by environmental hiking guides.

There is also a wide range of choices when it comes to trekking itineraries: in fact, you can choose between simple walks through the Mediterranean scrub and holm oak woods, or more challenging climbs of the typical limestone heels which, like that of Corongiu , can exceed 1000 meters in height.

For those who have a passion for cycling, you can travel on various mountain bike trails that may have only slight differences in altitude or harder routes of 15-20 km, immersed in lush vegetation on dirt roads, suitable for those with a higher level of training.

For those who want to reach these splendid locations while having fun, the I Tacchi d'Ogliastra cooperative offers its customers the rental of Quads.

We also give you the opportunity to get to know the lands located between Jerzu, Ulassai, Osini, Gairo and Cardedu, their traditions and their history, among the Cannonau vines (on the wine paths), the ancient cellars, the ovens of lime and the old country churches to introduce you to the habits and customs of an ancient people, who keep their traditions alive and to carry out guided tours to rediscover the Sardinian tradition.

The i Tacchi d'Ogliastra Quad cooperative offers its customers the opportunity to reach enchanting places in Ogliastra with the ATV.

In fact, Quads are the ideal means of transport for those who want to visit the most hidden beauties of Sardinia in the purest fun without effort and while having fun. With these miniature off-road vehicles it is possible to reach inaccessible places, go on excursions in the wildest heart of Ogliastra and Sardinia.

Tacchi d'Ogliastra Quad currently has Polaris Trail Boss quads with a displacement of 330 cc and it is possible to choose between excursions guided by one of our guides, or free rental of the vehicle from 2 to 72 hours (in this case possession of a B driving license is required).

The guided excursions present two different itineraries:

• Sa Costa, Ungula and Ferru lasting 2 hours;
• Gessitu- Alustia saddle lasting 3 hours.

We recommend sports clothing and a pair of sunglasses, your license and we'll take care of everything else, even helmets.

With Tacchi d'Ogliastra Trekking, this sport is practicable almost all year round, given that in Ogliastra the climate is mild from early March until late November.

The trekking is a sporty walk that allows you to reach the peaks of the Tacchi d'Ogliastra (limestone-dolomite mountains), otherwise inaccessible by any other means, characterized by numerous archaeological remains, such as nuraghe and domus de janas. These excursions will obviously also be done in the presence of a specialized guide, in order to fully appreciate their magic.

We propose two different itineraries:

• Tacchi Tour (duration 5-6 H) with medium-high difficulty;
• Corongiu (duration 3 hours) with a medium-easy difficulty.

For the more sporty, we recommend mountain biking, the sport that combines individualism with the desire to be in a group. Our territory has hundreds of kilometers of dirt roads, therefore suitable for excursions of this type.

The itineraries that Tacchi d'Ogliastra MTB offers to its customers have different degrees of difficulty: from less demanding routes, for the less trained (who however will be able to give intense emotions thanks to the total immersion in nature); to others that are more difficult for athletes.

You will always be accompanied by our tour guides.

Here are some of the possible routes (always lasting 3 hours):

• Vineyard Tour,
• Bingionniga,
• Corungio.

We also give you the possibility of making excursions on your own, or renting a bicycle for a minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 7 days, to be able to admire the Ogliastra landscapes in complete tranquility and with the possibility of following archeotrekking itineraries.
