Mediterranea

The Mediterranea center is located overlooking the coast, one of the most surprising and cleanest stretches of sea in Italy, part of the Marine Protected Area of the Secche di Tor Paterno. An extraordinary site which is characterized by extremely clean waters totally free of pollutants.

The sandy bottom often makes the water cloudy, but absolutely extraordinary for its purity and shape.

Thanks to this naturalistic richness, Mediterranea is able to offer its customers unique experiences:

• a surprising landscape variety, determined by the wind instability of the area,
• swimming in clean and supervised water
• sailing excursions in an environment protected for its natural riches.
• scuba diving towards the Secche di Tor Paterno Marine Park.

The Mediterranea centre thinks that knowledge of an environment is concrete and not exclusively theoretical, that it is essential to penetrate it, observe it, breathe it, experience it even physically. What better experience therefore than practicing a water sport to get closer to this wonderful space?

At Mediterranea Diving we are sure that few things fascinate like underwater exploration, which has become part of the imagination of every sea lover since time immemorial!

The Mediterranea Diving diving center makes all diving equipment available to divers who will participate in courses or scheduled dives, together with services related to the maintenance and recharging of tanks and diving material.

The dinghy used at the center to reach the diving spots accommodates up to twelve divers on board with accompanying staff.
The same care and attention to the diver's needs has been placed in the preparation of the structure that houses the diving center which has adequate services both for the diver and for rinsing and collecting the material.

The center has additional services for members' moments of relaxation, between one dive and another, with restaurant service, equipped beach and boat rental.

The guided dives are supervised by Mediterranea Diving instructors and may include the presence of naturalistic diving guides.

We maintain an active collaboration with the Sea section of Legambiente to carry out a series of activities aimed at enhancing and protecting the marine environment, such as environmental education aimed at schools.
We also pay great attention to safety, a fundamental requirement for a pleasant and peaceful underwater activity, for this reason we only employ expert staff who have passed diving first aid exams.

The diving courses we organize take place in collaboration with ARVU Sub and Circolo Legambiente Calypso, and include the different steps of underwater training:

• Divemaster courses

• Intermediate courses
• Free Trial Lessons.

The experience of Mediterranea Vela with navigation makes us believe that although it is possible to practice it with various means and in various forms, it takes on its truest meaning with sailing, an art to which Nowadays it is only used for pleasure, but it keeps all its educational qualities intact.

Sailing has no equals for its beauty and its history, for the relationship it allows you to establish with nature and the elements, for the solidarity it necessarily creates between the members of a crew. Sailing provides training skills: sailing requires good (but not exceptional) physical conditions, coordination skills, orientation, balance and great sensitivity towards nature. Sailing also teaches patience and tolerance as it is impossible to live a crew life for anyone who does not have it.
