Description of 2-day Free Ride Course in Macugnaga

Are you mocking learning the basics of off-piste skiing or improving your technique to be able to safely tackle the particular characteristics of skiing on fresh snow?

Thanks to the Macugnaga Alpine Guides you will have this unmissable opportunity: two days of courses dedicated to free ride in the company of Fabio Iacchini, national instructor of mountain guides and ski instructor.

The program includes a very important fundamentally technical part, consisting of preparatory exercises for adapting the techniques of classic skiing on the slopes, to the conditions of off-piste.
To achieve our fundamental goal will be the skill and experience of Fabio Iacchini, national instructor of Alpine Guides and ski instructor.

A fundamental section is then dedicated to teaching primary operations for self-rescue in avalanches and dedicated to the use of ARVA devices.

Daily program:

1st day: explanation and tests of basic research with the ARVA. Aspects of skiing technique, preparatory exercises for off-piste.
2nd day: descent technique. Free ride descents.

The program may be subject to changes due to environmental reasons.

Material needed: ski equipment and clothing on the slopes (ski mountaineering equipment is fine too), poles with a wide washer for unpaved snow, helmet (highly recommended) mandatory for minors, back protector (highly recommended), backpack medium capacity (30 lt.), mask / glasses.

Harnesses and carabiners, provided by the organization, if necessary.
