Speleological Naturalistic Excursion Center is the association that deals with organizing outings and providing information to all sportsmen and hikers interested in carrying out their activities in the Monte Cucco park.

The trained team of Cens is able to support you in different fields:

In addition to supporting scholars and hikers, individuals or groups, the Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center has specific activities for school students, such as the Monte Cucco Project which includes courses in the naturalistic field for elementary, middle and high schools.

The centre's commitment also extends to other issues concerning research:

• Umbrian Speleological Cadastre,
• Speleo-mountaineering material testing laboratory,

The Canyoning Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center organizes a guide service to accompany hikers in every type of gorge.

The many exciting itineraries that wind through the district of the Monte Cucco Park offer many possibilities to hikers who want to dedicate themselves to exploring the traditional gorges.

Participants who agree on an excursion with the Cens guides will be equipped with the necessary equipment to overcome waterfalls and cableways that characterize the area.

In addition to the usual descent of the Rio Freddo (first and second part) that will take you to discover a unique and spectacular environment, full of waterfalls, rapids, clear basins, in a wild and primordial environment, you can agree with the other guides route such as the descent of the Presale gorge , a particularly fun gorge located on the eastern side of Monte Nerone, or wandering in other areas:

The Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center in its section dedicated to Speleology offers a guide service and logistic support for every type of cave in the area of the Monte Cucco Park .

Based in Costacciaro, the cens completes its support to the hiker, as well as with the collaboration of a certified guide for the accompaniment in speleological excursion , also with the supply of progression equipment, both personal and group .

With the support of the Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center you can participate in explorations of the main underground systems of the Monte Cucco Park , which extend about one kilometer in the subsoil of the area.

The excursions, organized by speleological guides in possession of a regional patent and municipal authorization, range in this suggestive environment which includes:

• Buca di Faggeto Tondo,
• White Grotto,
• Cave of the Fairies,
• Voragine Boccanera,
• Grotta Ferrata,
• Underground Caves of Valdorbia.

Among the proposals outside the province of Perugia, particularly important are the organized excursions to the Pozzi della Piana, the incredible cavity on the banks of the Gole del Forello, inside the Tiber Park.

MTB Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center offers support to all hikers who are passionate about two wheels for routes in the province of Perugia.

The Parco del Monte Cucco , where the Cens is active, offers many possibilities for nature and hiking enthusiasts, with its numerous routes of different difficulty and commitment.

Inside the park as well as in the adjacent Alta Valle del Chiascio you will have the opportunity to explore a dense network of paths, mule tracks and cart tracks ideal for mountain biking that go for hundreds of kilometers inland.

The MTB Naturalistic Speleological Excursion Center also provides its members with logistic support and useful tools for excursions:

• 10000 and 25000 cartography of the whole area,
• maps of the main routes, with marked variants,
• information on itineraries (also for emergency situations via mobile phone),
• on-site technical assistance,
• information and support for mountain bike rental.

Speleological Trekking Hiking Center accompanies, on request, hikers and school students in itineraries inside the Monte Cucco Park and on the Umbrian Apennines Marche .

The operators of the CENS can offer a guide support to all excursions along the paths of the districts or, of different degrees as regards the commitment and the difficulty.

In small groups of a maximum of twenty participants, you will be guided along paths, even of practically no technical difficulty, for a day of direct contact with nature, or, in the case of excursions included in specific educational paths, coordinates to cognitive paths in the field of Earth Sciences.
