The kayak excursions proposed by the guides of Viva Pantelleria Kayak will allow you to discover the most beautiful part of the coast on the island.

From the port of Scauri we proceed towards the white pebble beaches and small caves. Following the guides you will glide silently on the water aboard safe two-seater kayaks towards Balata dei Turchi.

An obligatory stop is Nikà, a small inlet of volcanic rocks where it is possible to bathe in relaxing thermal waters.

The itineraries of the trips depend on the level of kayaking knowledge of the participants and are carried out in calm sea conditions.

The tourist agency Viva Pantelleria Trekking organizes 10 circular routes (more or less demanding) that develop between the pine forest of the Montagna Grande, the Mediterranean scrub and the lava flows bathed by the splendid sea.

The managing body of the island has recovered and arranged much of the dense network of old forest paths and mule tracks, giving life to these splendid itineraries to be followed in the company of expert environmental guides (AIGAE members).

Here are some more details about our scheduled routes:

• EASTER TREKKING IN PANTELLERIA:

The package includes accommodation at Residence Kuddie Rosse with half board service, 1 trek with guide and transfers, a tourist tour of the island with guide in a mini-bus and lunch in a restaurant, a food and wine tour. • JUNE TREKKING IN PANTELLERIA:

Program description:

Day 1 – Arrival in Pantelleria

Arrival at Pantelleria airport in the morning and accommodation in a 3-star hotel. During the day the guides will present the trek, the afternoon will be free. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Gelfiser Lave

We will go on a trekking walk to pass through some locations including Gelfiser, Kaggiar, Punta Spadillo.
Further locations we will visit will be: Cannachi, Tikirriki, Bugeber, Cala Cinque Denti.
We will start from the Lago di Venere car park, which will also be the place of arrival.
The route will take place on a road surface suitable for excursions and mainly of asphalt, dirt and mixed type. The difference in altitude will be approximately 400 m and you will not climb higher than 369 m.
The route will take approximately 6 and a half hours and will cover approximately 15 km.
We will start from Lake Venus, an important ecosystem from a naturalistic point of view, and arrive on Mount Gelfiser, and then descend towards Buggeber.

Day 3 - The Balata of the Turks

Also on the third day there will be a trekking route touching the localities of Cuddia Attalora, Piano Barone, Contrada Dietro Isola again and finally the Balata dei Turchi.

We will start from Rekale in front of the church of San. Joseph. This walk will also not have a difference in altitude greater than 350 m, reaching up to an altitude of approximately 450 m. Approximately 17 km will be covered in 6 and a half hours.
We will thus be able to reach a beautiful cove, among the most fascinating on the southern side.
We will visit the pine forest of Cuddia Attalora to continue towards the terraces of the baron's floor. At the end of the path you will reach the part of the coast that leads to Balata dei Turchi, where it will be possible to see the cliff, made up of stratified volcanic materials. We will go back up the cliff to complete the route and return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 – The Big Mountain

This day will also be dedicated to trekking, and we will pass through various locations including the Siba plain and Cuddia di Midas.
We will leave and return to Sibà.
This time we will have a difference in altitude of 500 m and we will reach 836 m, covering 13 km in approximately 6 hours.
We will cross areas where we will find zibibbo plantations. We will see the Great Mountain and arrive at Cuddia di Midas.
On the top of this volcanic cone, and from the numerous Favare, it will also be possible to see the coast of Sicily.

Day 5 - Tour of the island by boat (both walkers and non-walkers)

In the morning the transfer will be made to the port for a boat tour of the island. We will visit the most beautiful and evocative coves such as the elephant arch, the balata dei turchi, the
martingana where we will make stops for swimming, snorkeling and diving. We will have lunch on the boat and head to Pantelleria port and then head to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6 – The dry bath.

We will trek together towards the Benikulà Cave, up to the Monastery Valley.
We will start from Scauri and climb with a difference in altitude of 410 m to reach the altitude of 420 m.
We will travel 9 km in approximately 4 hours.

The route will develop in the Monastery Plan and we will reach the Benikulà cave,where we will encounter a beautiful natural sauna. We will continue the visit immersed in the Mediterranean scrub among lava rocks.

Once we arrive at the Fossa del Russo we will overlook the Favara Grande plain, and then return through the Contrada di Rekale.

Day 7 - Coach excursion (both walkers and non-walkers)

On the seventh day we will "rest" by taking a minibus sightseeing tour around the island for the whole day.
Through short excursions you can visit the two spa resorts of Sataria and Gadir, the archaeological areas of Sesi and Castello, the IGT caper processing cooperative of
Pantelleria. Lunch is organized at a restaurant serving typical Pantelleria cuisine where you can taste the products of a rich and generous land. In the afternoon there is a visit to a cellar where the production phases of the passito di Pantelleria DOC are observed. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 – Departure

In the morning there will be a transfer to the airport for the return.
